Please ensure if you opt into our wars that you follow these rules like everyone else.
Please ensure if you opt into our wars that you follow these rules like everyone else.
Preparation day;
1. Check your war base castle during preparation day on the war map.
- Make sure your request message is for the best troops to defend your base - Click here to learn the best combos.
- Before war starts check that you have received what you requested and that no one online can donate a better level.
2. All War Base donations during preparation day are to be handled by Co-Leaders only unless asked specifically to do so.
Be sure to update your war request during preparation day to get the best troop combo for defence - Click here to learn the best combos.
We can cover the following troops with ease so nothing lesser should be donated;
- Lv5 Wizards
- Lv6 Archers
- Lv6 Balloons
- Lv2 Witches
- Lv2 Valkyrie
- Lv2 Lavahounds
3. Co-Leaders should attempt to donate every war, even a few troops helps share the load.
4. Scout your enemy before training an army, exploit the bases weakness by using the right troops - Study certain base weaknesses here.
- Look for 2x2 gaps for Hidden Teslas and 2x4 gaps for Double Giant Bombs if those are a threat to your attack. (P.E.K.K.A or Hog Rider armies)
- Look for a lureable Clan Castle or path to lure the Clan Castle if that gives you an advantage in battle. (Balloon or Hog Rider armies)
- Find a spot you can enter the base from easily and try to imagine how your troops would move if the battle was underway, try to perfect how you will deploy your troops for the best result.
- Request the right troops to compliment your attack - Check here for the best combos.
- Target the top base you can realistically earn Three Stars on, if you need to go lower, do so, but do not be unrealistic with who you target.
- When studying a base, get on chat or post here and have others join in and analyse the base, they may help get your attack perfect.
5. Your Clan Castle is just as important as your Townhall to have in the middle of your base.
The harder it is to lure your Clan Castle, the more troops your opponent will waste trying/doing so. It also make's some strategies like Balloons or Hog Riders a tougher army to use.
6. When building a base for war you should always try to have at least one Double Giant Bomb.
Place two Giant Bombs together in an area that Hog Riders will move through and that cannot be tripped by a couple Hog Riders sent early.
A Giant Bomb will wipe out an equal level Hog Rider (1-1, 2-2 ect.) and two of them together will instantly kill even maxed level Hog Riders.
NOTE: The only effective way to stop Lv 4 or 5 Hog Riders are Double Giant Bombs, if your opponent has those levels and you don't create an Anti Hog trap then you risk a Three Star attack.
7. Have a proper base for war.
Check our guide to war base defences or a base build on the Clash of Clans Forums or Youtube.
War day;
1. No TH8 are to attack an enemy TH7 or lower as the matchup is unfair and should be left to our lower members.
You can only attack if no one lower than you can beat the base or you are asked to by a co-leader.
2. All enemy TH9 are to be handled by our TH9 as without the Queen and extra troops/spells a TH8 doesn't stand half the chance, don't waste an attack!
3. All enemy TH10 are to be handled by our TH10 as without freeze spells a TH9 doesn't stand half the chance, don't waste an attack!
4. If the base you plan to attack has a replay, study it for trap location & Clan Castle combination.
5. Bring the best army to attack the style of base you choose.
Check out our guide on certain base weaknesses here.
6. Once you choose a base to attack or are uncertain about the best target, ask a Co-Leader for final say on that target to ensure it suits our plans.
7. Attack close to your war rank, not too far below for an easy win.
8. Dont rush an attack because you trained for it but have to go/are busy.
If you can't spend time to fully study a base right now then wait until later and ask a Co-leader to reserve the base for you if you aren't going to be busy for too long. Rushing in means your attack is not prepared well and if it fails then you're leading your team mates down.
9. Always bring a full army. (All troops, all spells, a proper Clan Castle, All Heroes)
With the new barracks overview screen and the war attack confirm screen you have two opportunities to notice that you're missing something from your army, if you manage to do so then there is no excuse for not checking either screen to be sure and you're letting us down and will likely be demoted for it.
10. Never be negative about the war, just enjoy yourself.
Picking on people over their attacks if it was a genuine attempt is bad sportsmanship and not tolerated, so is complaining or being negative about the war score, if everyone does their best with every attack and it doesn't work out, then we learn what we can from it and move on.
